Welcome to the Hollidaysburg American Legion Ambulance Service web site. We are proud to support the Hollidaysburg, Martinsburg, Williamsburg and surrounding communities with emergency medical and medical transportation services.

HALAS Inc. has proudly offered emergency medical services to the Hollidaysburg area since 1939. Currently HALAS provides 24 hour Advanced Life Support from headquarters on Scotch Valley road in Hollidaysburg and from two sub-stations—one at the Meadows intersection (Hollidaysburg) and one in the borough of Martinsburg. Our fleet includes six ambulances, one paramedic response vehicle, two EMS bikes and one wheelchair van.

HALAS and the Williamsburg Area Ambulance Service formed a partnership in August 2005 which permitted paid daylight EMS coverage to the residents of Williamsburg.  

HALAS employees are trained above the state level requirements and participate in continuing education and physician directed Quality Improvement Reviews. HALAS employees have the skill and experience needed to be a leader in emergency medicine standards.
